X Factor Judge Cheryl Cole Delighted She Will Mentor Groups |
'X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole is thrilled after learning she will mentor the groups. The Girls Aloud singer is confident she has the winning act after revealing she is delighted with the category she has been given.
She teased: "I have definitely got the category I wanted!
"I don't need to win it for me. I need one of my acts to win - and I know I have got one there."
Although bosses on the hit UK talent show refused to confirm Cheryl will be working with the groups, the 25-year-old beauty has previously spoken about the category that has impressed her the most.
She said: "I really want to get the groups. There have been so many brilliant groups auditioning." A group has never won 'X Factor', with second-placed opera quartet G4 proving the most successful band, despite being beaten in the final of the first series by Steve Brookstein.
Although judge Simon Cowell was convinced brother and sister double act Same Difference would be victorious last year, they finished in third place.
It is still unknown which judges - Simon, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue - will mentor the 14-24 males, 14-24 females and the over 25s.
Cheryl has also claimed she has the best chance of picking the winning act because she is more passionate than the other mentors.
She explained: "I think out of all the judges I have got the most passion because I am new to it and still in the industry."
Viewers can see which acts survive boot camp on ITV this Saturday (27.09.08).
