Winehouse Meets Divorce Lawyers

Posted by audioman On November - 28 - 2008

Amy Winehouse met divorce lawyers yesterday to discuss a separation from Blake Fielder-Civil.

The junkie diva, 25, who is in a London clinic following a “seizure”, asked her dad Mitch to organise the meeting.

Amy is being treated after a phone bust-up with her husband.

Druggie Blake continued to make angry calls to her after she was kept in hospital for tests.

The Sun revealed on Tuesday that Amy went on a drink and drugs binge sparked by the screaming match.

Blake then ranted over the phone at cab driver Mitch for “obstructing” their relationship.

But pals say Amy wanted to end the marriage and then asked her dad to bring divorce lawyers to hospital for a meeting.

Blake, 26 — out on early release — failed to get a cut in his 27-month sentence for attacking a pub landlord and perverting justice.

Oasis leader Noel Gallagher has said his band are in the same league as The Rolling Stones now.

The guitarist made the admission during the band’s current US tour.

“Everybody knows who we are. You have to see us in league with The Rolling Stones now,” he declared. “Everybody’s heard of the Stones, everybody knows what they sound like, everybody knows what they do. You either go because you like it or you don’t. It’s easy.”

Gallagher also praised Ryan Adams, who is currently supporting Oasis in the US.

He told Rolling Stone: “I’ve got a lot of respect for the man. He’s a great guitar player.”

“He’s a little eccentric. He wears stripy socks and platform shoes, but not everybody’s perfect. I wouldn’t be on tour with him if I didn’t like him.”

Ronson Denies Amy ‘Anger’ Stories

Posted by audioman On November - 26 - 2008

Mark Ronson has denied reports that he is still angry with Amy Winehouse over their scrapped Bond theme.

Newspaper reports had claimed their relationship had soured after they dropped plans to produce a theme to Quantum of Solace.

But Ronson said the singer was still “a really good friend”.

The producer added that the pair were currently trying to finish a cover version of Lesley Gore’s You Don’t Own Me for Quincy Jones.

“Basically it’s a Quincy Jones record and he’s got all sorts of different people doing songs that he either produced or wrote, kind of a tribute record.”

“Hopefully we’ll get that done.”

The duo’s much-rumoured Bond theme failed to materialise because Winehouse was not ready to make music, Ronson said in May.

Speaking about his current relationship with Winehouse, he told BBC 6 Music: “I haven’t been in England in a while. I always go and see her when I’m there and I saw her about six weeks ago but I haven’t spoken to her in a little while.”

“She’s a really good friend and I’m there for her.”

‘More grown up’

Ronson is currently in Australia gearing up for the Sydney and Brisbane leg of the Global Gathering festival, in which he appears with German electro pioneers Kraftwerk.

The Brit Award-winner has become one of the most in-demand pop producers over the last couple of years, working with the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, Christina Aguilera and Take That.

But he said he had been unable to team up with former collaborator Lily Allen for her second album, It’s Not Me, It’s You, which is due out next year.

“We didn’t work together on this record but Lily’s a great friend and I think she’s one of the best melodic writers of her generation.”

“I’ve heard a lot of the new record and I think it’s great. She’s somebody that fills a void in pop music.”

“The way she sings and says things, and puts words together, that no one else does. I’m a huge fan of her, whether as a friend or not.”

“I think it’s more of a mature record,” he added. “The first record was a lot of fun and it had a lot of influences of the things that she loved growing up, whether it was The Specials, Dizzee Rascal, a lot of reggae infused samples and things like that.”

“It was closer to a hip-hop record in its spirit and I think this record is more grown up and melodically based. I think it’s really good.”

At present, Ronson is finishing his production duties on the Rumble Strips’ album which is due out in March or April 2009.

He said he then plans to produce an LA band called The Light, before working with Slash on his solo record in February.

After that, Ronson hopes to start his next solo record - a follow-up to the 2007 covers album, Version.

Britney Spears Has Revealed Kevin Federline Ended Their Marriage

Posted by audioman On November - 26 - 2008

The ‘Womanizer’ singer filed for divorce in 2006, but has now confessed it was actually the aspiring rapper who called time on their relationship.

She admitted: “I didn’t think my husband was gonna leave me.”

Britney, who recently admitted the marriage was a mistake, also revealed her sadness over the split because it means the couple’s two sons, Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, can’t enjoy a traditional upbringing.

The 26-year-old star – who currently enjoys three visits a week with the boys – told America’s Rolling Stone magazine: “To be a really good mom, I feel your child needs to be your full-time job. I want to raise my kids and share all of those precious moments with them.

“If Kevin hadn’t left, I’d be with my babies 24/7. But since they’re almost like twins, they both take care of each other. I think they look like me.

They don’t look like their father at all.

“Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they’re such special people.”

Britney is amazed by how intelligent her children are and also revealed the boys are obsessed with monsters.

She added: “They’re learning so much, and it’s new, and you never know what they’re going to say, and they’re so smart yet so innocent.

“They’re obsessed with monsters, and every night we look outside, and we have to show them that there’s no monsters out there. It’s dark outside, but there’s nothin’ out there, you know?”

World Tour! Pah! Yeah, if you say so Brit!

Posted by carly On November - 26 - 2008

newbritney.jpgBritney Spears has revealed that she will perform just two European dates on her supposed 2009 World Tour. The ‘Womanizer‘ star revealed on her website that she will play two dates at London’s O2 Arena on June 3rd and 4th 2009.

Hmmm, since when does a world tour include just two European dates? Especially if they’re both in London! Despite embarking on a much smaller European tour than anticipated, Britney fans are still expected to snap up the must-have tickets.

I for one will be at the front of the queue when tickets for Brit’s O2 shows go on sale on 5th December. I just hope the tickets don’t cost too much!

What do people think? Will anyone else be heading to the O2 for a night of poptastic cheese? Oh how we’ve missed you Brit!

The Jonas Brothers Want to Work With Kanye West

Posted by audioman On November - 26 - 2008

The band - comprising siblings Kevin, Nick and Joe – have revealed they would love to collaborate with the rapper after listening to his new album ‘808s and Heartbreak’.

Nick explained: “We think Kanye’s new record sounded really cool, so that’s someone. But usually it’s cool to get to know somebody as a friend before forming a work relationship with them.”

The group also revealed they were desperate for an introduction to the ‘Stronger’ singer at the American Music Awards last weekend, but didn’t get to fulfill their dream. Kevin said: “We got to meet Chris Martin and the guys from Coldplay. That to us is huge.”

“We still want to meet Kanye. That is our next goal. On his next album, the songs we’ve heard so far are incredible.”

Nick, Kevin and Joe recently said they would be keen to work with ‘Womanizer’ singer Britney Spears. When asked if they would consider performing with the star, Joe replied: “Oh yeah, that would be crazy!”

Britney Confirms UK Concert Dates

Posted by audioman On November - 26 - 2008

US singer Britney Spears is to play two concerts at the O2 arena in London next June - the only European shows on her forthcoming world tour.

Tickets for the dates on 3 and 4 June will go on general sale on 5 December - although fans who register with her website can buy them 24 hours earlier.

“It’s going to be very special,” said Rob Hallett of tour promoter AEG.

The concert, he said, would take its theme from her latest album The Circus, which is released next week.

“We’re creating a musical circus,” he said. “Expect to see jugglers, dancers, tattooed ladies and acrobats.”

According to the promoter, the concerts will be Spears’ only dates in Europe “for the foreseeable future”.

Spears last performed in the UK in 2004 when her Onyx Hotel tour visited Birmingham, Glasgow, Belfast, Manchester and Wembley Arena in London.

‘Radiant’

The 26-year-old will be in the capital this weekend to appear on ITV1 talent show The X Factor.

Before that she will travel to Germany to attend the annual Bambi entertainment awards in Dusseldorf.

The singer will be named best international pop star after achieving what organisers have called a “stunning comeback from an absolute low point”.

“Britney Spears is back,” said host Hubert Burda. “Radiant and better than ever, the erstwhile idol has reclaimed her throne.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the performer admitted she felt “like an old person” now her much-documented troubles are behind her.

“I go to bed at, like, 9.30 every night and I don’t go out or anything,” she is quoted as saying. “I just feel like an old fart.”

Spears’ mother Lynne, meanwhile, has been telling the BBC how happy she is that her daughter has got her life back on track.

“Britney wants to do it right,” she told Radio 5 Live’s Colin Paterson, attributing her recent turnaround to having “good people around her” and “lots and lots of prayer”.

Miley Cyrus Receives a Recording Studio For Her Birthday

Posted by audioman On November - 25 - 2008

The ‘Hannah Montana’ star celebrated her 16th birthday at the American Music Awards (AMAs) on Sunday (23.11.08) and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was keen to make her day special by splashing out on a unique present.

Billy said: “I bought Miley her very own recording studio!”

Miley’s friends also decided to help her celebrate by laying on a star-studded party for her backstage at the AMAs.

‘High School Musical’ star Ashely Tisdale, singer Taylor Swift, and former ‘American Idol’ contestant Jordin Sparks joined Miley’s parents to present her with a huge, multi-layered cake with ‘Happy Birthday Miley’ written on it in pink icing.

Taylor said: “Us girls got together and thought it would be fun to do a little surprise party for Miley, she deserves it.”

Miley was thrown an early birthday party by Disney last month, which saw the legendary theme park closed especially for her.

Meanwhile, Miley and her boyfriend Justin Gaston were seen paying a visit to tattoo parlour with country singer Billy on Friday (21.11.08).

Billy reportedly got a new inking as Miley and Justin sat passionately kissing.

Nickelback Ban Album Track from British Radio

Posted by audioman On November - 25 - 2008

Canadian rock band Nickelback have banned a new album track from being played on British radio because they think it’s too raunchy.

They said the song, Something In Your Mouth, contains lyrics that “prudish” Brits would find too rude, and as a result, their record label Roadrunner, have pulled it from the airwaves in the UK.

The three-minute song, which appears on their new album, Dark Horse, includes the chorus: “You’re ripping up the dance floor honey, you shake your ass around for everyone.

“I love the way you dance with anybody and tease them all by sucking on your thumb. You’re so much cooler when you never pull it out, cuz you look so much cuter with something in your mouth!”

But outraged presenters on rock station Kerrang! Radio yesterday launched a campaign to get the track, which is allowed to be played on US radio stations, on Britain’s airwaves.

Evening presenters Christian Stevenson and Loz reckon Brits should demand the right to listen to smut as they’re made of sterner stuff.

Loz said “The message that Kerrang! Radio is sending to Nickelback is bring it on! We think it’s a great track and it doesn’t offend me.”

Christian, who hails from America, added “Yes the lyrics are suggestive, but the great thing about suggestive is that stuff is only as dirty as the mind of the listener.
“This track can only offend someone who is dirty minded!”

Listeners agreed and called in to their show in their droves to back the campaign.

One fan said: “A little too racy for British radio? Sorry, but the lyrics in this song probably aren’t even as ‘racy’ as songs by bands such as the Sugababes or Girls Aloud who sing about not only sex, but promote promiscuity to a much younger audience.”

Paris Hilton Tries to Win Back Benji Madden

Posted by audioman On November - 24 - 2008

Paris Hilton has been desperately trying to win ex-lover Benji Madden back.

The heiress chased her former boyfriend across Los Angeles on Saturday night (22.11.08) in an attempt to reconcile with him following their split last week.

Paris had reportedly been bombarding the Good Charlotte rocker with text messages, but he refused to reply. When Paris heard Benji was at the Villa nightclub on Saturday she decided to confront him and took pop star Avril Lavigne along for support.

A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “All her friends reckoned it was a bad idea. And when Paris and Avril set off, one pal thought Benji should be warned and he went mad.”

“The minute he put the phone down he ran out of the club. They missed each other by a few seconds and Paris was absolutely devastated.”

After Benji, 29, had stormed out of the club he reportedly ranted: “Can’t I have a night out in peace?”

Paris admitted she was still in love with Benji during a radio interview on Friday (21.11.08)

She told KISS FM’s Ryan Seacrest: “He’s my best friend. He’s been so great to me, so loyal. He is an incredible person, and we will always be really close.”

When asked if they will ever get back together, Paris added: “We’ll see what happens in the future; I’m still in love with him. He’s a very special person - there’s no one like him. I still have feelings for Benji.”
