Coco Sumner, daughter of Trudie Styler and Sting, is one of the latest ‘celebrity offspring’ carving out a career in the limelight.

The budding musician who turns 18 today, has been wowing captivated audiences with her band ‘I Blame Coco’ most recently playing an acoustic set at a charity event for Trekstock at Boogaloo in North London where she undoubtly proved that she is a musically talented chip of the old block.

During the gig, the talented teen performed an acoustic version of Estelle’s hit ‘American Boy’ alongside original songs which include the track ‘My Name Is A Stain’ The lyrics of which wittingly refer to her celebrity roots and her desire for people to judge her on her own musical ability…

“….My name is a stain.. absorbed in some fabric just like a spill of a drink cos it will never wash off but it always rubs off onto party guests.. the kind I detest who love you before they have to confess they don’t know you they never do…. my name is a stain…..forget my dad you need to hear my band …my name is a stain …. my family name…”

Although she is keen to point out that she is an artist in her own right, when she sings there is no doubting who her father is as her voice holds remarkable similarities to his.

By all reports, Coco appears to be pretty grounded although she has been linked to bad boy Pete Doherty! Something which is sure to give her parents concern!! Let’s hope that she can keep it together unlike some of her contemporaries and cope with the success which she is sure to acheive.

After three years of on-off dating with Vince Vaughn, Paul Sculfor and Jason Lewis, Jennifer Aniston appears to have found the perfect match in singer/songwriter John Mayer. The couple – who’ve been dating for three months – are said to be keen to test the strength of their relationship, and think John moving into Jennifer’s house is the perfect first step.

A source told Britain’s Grazia magazine: “John wants to settle down as much as Jennifer does. What’s more, he’s been telling her that he thinks she is the one and she believes him.”

John is expected to move into Jennifer’s Beverly Hills mansion after he finishes his worldwide tour in September. The couple have grown extremely close over the past few months and Jennifer has been spotted supporting John at many of his shows.

The couple are also said to be talking seriously about becoming parents: “John is the first guy since Brad who’s talked seriously about having children and Jennifer is very excited about it,” the source added.

Jennifer was previously married to Brad Pitt for five years. They separated in 2005 amid allegations he was cheating on her with actress Angelina Jolie, with who he now has six children.

Despite wowing the crowds at last year’s show, Chris Brown knows he has some stiff competition at this year’s VMAs and he’s not confident about winning.

After hearing he’s up against Lil Wayne, Usher, T.I. and Flo Rida, the Best Male Video nominee (for With You) told MTV News: “I lost. There’s, like, a 5 percent chance now. Wayne is definitely on top of his game right now. He might win. He has the flavor.”

The 19-year-old star is also quick to address Usher’s talent and longevity: “Usher has been in the game for a while.”

Luckily for Brown, he does have some other opportunities to get his hands on the coveted moonman award as his video ‘No Air’ (with Jordan Sparks) has been nominated for Best Female Video. Also, voting for Best Dancing in a video will begin after Friday’s ‘FNMTV’ so the slick-mover isn’t out of the running just yet.

Whether Brown picks up an award on the big night or not, one thing’s for sure, the RnB star is already looking forward to the festivities: “I think it’s going to be crazy,” he said. “Like, I don’t know if I’m performing this year or next year, but I want to see what the old school gonna do.”

The MTV VMAs will take place on September 7th in Hollywood.

After months of speculation, it’s been revealed that The White Stripes‘ Jack White has teamed up with R&B singer Alicia Keys, making history as the first couple to record a duet as the theme for the latest Bond installment, ‘Quantum Solace’

The duet entitled ‘Another Way To Die’ has been written and produced by White who also plays drums on the track. It will be released on the movie’s soundtrack on October 28th.

Alicia recently hinted in an interview with the Rolling Stone magazine that she’d love to work with The White Stripes claiming that they’re one of her favourite bands. With her powerful voice and Jack’s raw talent their track should be a wonderful mix of rock, soul and blues.

The unlikely pairing have beaten a whole host of artists who were in line to record the Bond theme including Amy Winehouse with Mark Ronson, Beyonce, Leona Lewis, Grace Jones, Annie Lennox, Duran Duran and most recently Duffy.

Quantum Of Solace, the 22nd Bond film, which once again features Daniel Craig in the starring role of 007, is set to hit the screens in November.

Sam Sparro has confirmed that he’s soon jetting off to America to work with Hollywood actress and wannabe pop singer, Lindsay Lohan.

The chart topping ‘Black & Gold’ singer has revealed that he has been invited to the States to work with Lohan on recommendations from producer Mark Ronson, brother of Lindsay’s girlfriend DJ Sam Ronson.

In an interview with the Mirror newspaper Sparro commented “…Working with Lindsay is an interesting proposition. I’ve always been a big fan and I think she’s cool…. I’ve never met Sam Ronson but I have met her dad and her sister Charlotte when I was working with Mark at Coachella….They are a great family…..“

He went on to say “… I’ll be heading over to LA and New York in a couple of weeks to start writing for Lindsay and a few other artists. I’m really excited….”

Lets hope that some of his Gold magic will rub off on LiLo giving her lots of success in the charts……

After working with some of the industry’s finest RnB performers, Ne-Yo is looking to mix it up a little and he’s hoping that goth rocker Marilyn Manson can help.

The RnB star wants to team up with the controversial musician on a track and intends to approach him in the near future. Ne-Yo, 25, told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: ‘I’m trying to get hold of Marilyn Manson about an idea I have.

The singer – who had a UK number one hit single in June with his single ‘Closer’ – has also revealed he would love to collaborate with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

He added: “When I got told ‘Closer’ had beaten Coldplay to number one in the UK, I couldn’t believe it. I am THE Coldplay fan, so that was really cool. I’d love to do something with them – me and Chris Martin that would be cool.”

Ne-Yo - real name Shaffer Chimere Smith – is currently exploring the British music scene after being given an MP3 player loaded with tracks by UK artists. He said: “I’ve been discovering a lot of new stuff. You wouldn’t think they were my kind of thing but I really like The Feeling.”

Whether the RnB star’s collaboration dreams come true remains to be seen but one thing’s for sure, a Ne-Yo and Manson duet would certainly be intriguing!

Fans of George Michael attending the final shows of his world tour in London next month could be in for a huge treat…. Rumour has it that he will be teeming up with former bandmate Andrew Ridgley and performing hits from their time in Wham as part of “a series of surprises” during the concerts which are being held at London´s Earls Court.

George recently announced that this tour will be his last with the shows on August 24th and 25th officialy being the closing shows and the end of his touring career.

The last shows will be very special to mark the end of his live performances. A source was reported in the Sun Newspaper as saying; “….He´s keeping his cards close to his chest, but many are predicting that he´ll reunite with Andrew to sing a track or two…..” Wham were one of the biggest bands in the 80´s and any George Michael fan would be overjoyed to see them perform one last time…. I know I would…..

Nearly a year on from her disastrous 2007 MTV VMA performance and Britney’s already bounced back, scoring a nomination for Best Female Video for ‘Piece of Me’.

After thousands of votes on VMA.MTV.com, music fans have decided that Britney (Piece of Me), Mariah Carey (Touch My Body), Jordin Sparks (No Air), Rihanna (Take a Bow) and Katy Perry (I Kissed a Girl) should battle it out for the prestigious award. While many are debating whether Spears will return to the VMA stage, others are just pleased to see the princess of pop claim another worthwhile step on the road to recovery.

Meanwhile, things are also looking hot and heavy in the Best Male Video category. With Lil Wayne (Lollipop), T.I. (No Matter What), Chris Brown (With You), Usher (Love in This Club) and Flo Rida (Low) all vying for the award you can be sure that the 2008 VMAs won’t be short of drama.

The 25th VMAs will take place at Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood on September 7th. The Jonas Brothers are confirmed to perform and British funnyman Russell Brand will host the show.

Despite rumours that the Rolling Stones were set to sign a deal with Live Nation, the rock heavyweights have just penned a deal with Universal.

The Rolling Stones were expected to join the likes of Jay-Z and Madonna at Live Nation but instead the band gave control to Universal.

Universal described the deal, which sees the label take control of the band’s back catalogue as well as future albums, as “exclusive, long-term, worldwide”, reports BBC News.

In a statement The Rolling Stones said: “Universal are forward thinking, creative and hands-on music people. We really look forward to working with them.”

Too bad for Live Nation!

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly banned her father from attending a party she is throwing with her girlfriend Samantha Ronson. The Mean Girls star is set to host a bash for their closest friends and family at Hollywood’s Peninsula Hotel on August 8, but has banned her outspoken father from attending.

Lindsay’s always had a tumultuous relationship with Michael Lohan and the past month has been no different. First up were allegations that Michael fathered a 13 year-old love child after he cheated on Lindsay’s mother, Dina Lohan, during their marriage. This was then followed by numerous comments from Michael about his daughter’s private life, including a disparaging remark about Lindsay’s same sex relationship with Samantha Ronson.

A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: ‘Michael thinks Lindsay is just going through another phase and that she will end up getting hurt. He thinks it is embarrassing.’

The 22-year-old actress is even believed to have hired additional security to ensure anyone not on the guest list doesn’t try and get in and ruin the party. Lindsay’s mother Dina - who fully supports her daughter’s relationship - is said to be delighted her ex-husband won’t be attending the event.

Lindsay - who spent time in rehab last year to be treated for alcoholism and drug addiction - recently spoke about her relationship with Samantha, the sister of super-producer Mark Ronson, as she celebrated her 22nd birthday earlier this month. The actress said: “I just want to live a happy, healthy year, continue on the path that I’ve been on and be with the person that I care about, and my family.”
